Begül Erhan was born in Ankara. She has given solo recitals in all corners of Turkey, introducing guitar music often for the first time to her audiences. She has appeared in local and national press and performed live on national television.
Performances at the Vienna Konzerthaus and in Sicily, Italy kick-started her international career. She is regularly invited to perform at international festivals and private functions around the world. She has participated in masterclasses with world-famous guitarists.
Her wide repertoire encompasses genres from Renaissance to Modern; Latin to Turkish folk music.
Begül released her first album on the Ada Music label. The album named ‘Anatolian Folk Songs’ was released in 2017, and is the first female solo guitar album album to be released in Turkey. Her second album is due to be released very soon.
