Jackie Jaekyung Yoo
Acknowledged by critics as one of the "future leaders of the Korean musical scene," pianist Jaekyung Yoo has enjoyed important acclaim both at home and abroad. After having won numerous grand prizes in Korea, she continued to succeed at international competitions; she won prizes at such competitions as the Jaén International Piano Competition (2010), the International Piano Competition "Delia Steinberg" (2009), the Prix d'Amadeo-Jeunes de Piano and the International Piano Competition "Premio Benedetto XIII" (2009) among many others. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras and performed numerous solo recitals within Europe, winning such praise as "the pianist absolutely dazzled us with her virtuosity."
Jaekyung currently studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, where she has studied for the past 7 years. Her teachers include Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Matti Raekallio and the late Vladimir Krainev. |
