
Mehmet Tekin’s exhibition ‘Junk Poetica: a series of eco-centric sculptures will be open to visitors between August 24-September 3 at Armonia Bodrum Houses, Peksimet Chapel.
Mehmet Tekin
Mehmet Tekin was born in Istanbul in 1979. He decided to become a painter when he was still in elementary school and started painting. Tekin completed his high school and university education in fine arts in the United States. During his visits to Turkey, he had the opportunity to work with painter Metin Talayman. In 1999, the young artist returned to Turkey and held several solo exhibitions:

Mehmet Tekin’s drawings have been published in various magazines and BirGüngazetesi since his student years. The artist also drew illustrations for the recent books of his mother Latife Tekin, with whom he says “we grew up together”.
