Büyükyıldırım has proven himself as a versatile musician in various genres, including solo and chamber music, jazz and twentieth century music, in concerts he gave in important halls in America, Canada, Europe and Turkey. Among them, New York Steinway Hall, where he performed as a soloist, and CKM/Istanbul, where he gave a solo recital, draws attention. Büyükyıldırım has also worked as a rehearsal pianist at Cincinnati Opera, as a coach/repetiteur at the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, as a coach/pianist for the BASOTI festival in San Francisco, and as a correpetitor in the Instrument and Opera Departments at the Manhattan School of Music New York. Barış Büyükyıldırım is currently working as a Doctor Lecturer at Istanbul University State Conservatory.
