Deli Bakkal, which brings its own unique musical styles such as Afrobeat, ethio-jazz and Anatolian funk to the Turkish jazz scene with new approaches, brings the liberating power of music to stage performances by performing colorful stage performances with its polyphonic cast. Deli Bakkal released three singles with Tarla Records label, ‘Salı Pazarı’, ‘Tellal’ and ‘Cebelitarık’, where he blended African melodies from Gibraltar with the local sounds of Anatolia, and then in 2022 he presented his first spoken word song with ‘Kime Kime Bu?
Within its polyphonic structure, which can be defined as a Big Band; It has a large staff with trumpet, saxophone, trombone, vocals, keyboard, guitar, bass, percussion and drum instruments. Deli Bakkal, which includes both modern music and nostalgic traces in its jazz, funk and fusion-oriented songs, also includes songs by names such as Fela Kuti, Barış Manço, the Budos Band and Mulatu Astatke in its live performances.
