Deniz Taşar is a singer, songwriter, designer, and multidisciplinary artist who brings a fresh perspective to the jazz vocal scene in Turkey with her distinctive vocal style and tone. Her recent productions have greatly expanded the boundaries of jazz, and her music can be described as a storytelling journey across various genres infused with jazz harmonies. In 2013, she won the ‘Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Competition,’ received the ‘Best Interpretation’ award in the Akbank ‘JAmZZ’ Competition, and was among the winners of the ‘IKSV Young Jazz Competition.’ In 2016, Deniz Taşar released her first album, ‘Uykuda Bir Bulut,’ featuring Turkish songs. The same year, she collaborated on the bass-vocal project ‘Songs From A Breeze,’ releasing their album ‘Chapter One.’ Additionally, she contributed ‘The Unfold,’ a song she wrote, to Netflix’s first Turkish production, ‘Yarına Tek Bilet.
